Duties
- Continuously observe pool areas to identify potential hazards and prevent accidents before they occur
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment for all guests
- Respond promptly and effectively to water emergencies, including water rescues and medical incidents
- Administer first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and first aid protocols as needed
- Conduct routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, skimming debris, and ensuring water quality standards are met
- Provide excellent guest services by assisting visitors with pool-related inquiries and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Educate guests on water safety practices and offer water safety instruction to children and adults alike
Qualifications
- Proven lifeguard experience with current certifications in CPR, AED operation, first aid, and basic life support- red cross lifeguard certification
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of public safety procedures and aquatic facility operations
- Experience working with children and providing water safety instruction is highly desirable
- Ability to perform light lifting related to pool maintenance equipment or supplies
- Familiarity with pool cleaning techniques and general pool maintenance practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach to safety
