We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant for a full-time, on-site position at our San Marcos, CA location. The Veterinary Assistant will support veterinarians and technicians in providing high-quality animal care, assist in handling and monitoring patients, and perform tasks such as cleaning and maintaining equipment and animal spaces. Additional responsibilities include supporting client education on pet health and nutrition, ensuring excellent customer service, and assisting in various veterinary procedures to promote the well-being of animals.
- Animal Care and Pet Care skills with the ability to handle and support animal well-being and safety
- Client Education and Customer Service skills, with a focus on clear communication and compassion
- Knowledge of Veterinary Medicine and experience with assisting in veterinary procedures
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional veterinary assistant certifications desired but not required
