Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of educational workshops and activities for high school students.
- Mentor and provide guidance to students in academic and personal development.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Facilitate group discussions and activities that promote teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Help organize and participate in school events and community outreach programs.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and participation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent. Requires two years of college, an AA degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment (Praxis Exam).
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- Basic knowledge of educational practices and child development principles.
- Must pass background checks and meet any other requirements as mandated by the school district.
