Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practice sessions, ensuring that drills are effective and engaging.
- Provide instruction and feedback to student-athletes to improve their individual and team performance.
- Help develop game strategies and assist in the preparation of game plans.
- Support the retention of student-athletes for the softball program.
- Monitor the academic progress and personal development of players, ensuring they maintain eligibility standards.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and respect.
- Assist in organizing team events, including fundraisers, community service activities, and team-building exercises.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff and athletic department personnel to enhance the overall athletic experience for student-athletes.
- Attend all practices, games, and coaching meetings as required.
- Uphold and enforce school policies and regulations regarding student-athlete conduct and safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience playing or coaching softball at the high school or collegiate level is preferred.
- Strong understanding of softball techniques, strategies, and rules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to students and parents.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their best both on and off the field.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certified.
- A commitment to the values of education-based athletics and the overall mission of Twin Falls High School.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during the softball season.
- Background Check required
All recommendations for hire are tentative offers. Employment is contingent upon board approval and successful completion of federal background check and drug-free workplace pre-employment screening.
This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The employment “at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 411.
Salary : $38,076 - $53,856
