CNC Lathe Machinist – Second Shift

Position Summary

Twin City EDM is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for second shift. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of CNC lathe experience, including hands-on experience with twin-turret and twin-spindle machines. This role requires strong setup, troubleshooting, and inspection skills to produce high-quality precision components.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes with twin turrets and twin spindles.
• Perform tool changes, adjust offsets, and make program edits as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize machine performance.
• Monitor tooling, maintain production documentation, and meet production deadlines.
• Follow safety and quality procedures while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of CNC lathe machining experience.
• Experience operating twin-turret and twin-spindle CNC lathes.- ability to set up is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, offsets, and machining processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
