What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Assistant position at Twilight Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation?
Twilight Gardens is seeking an experienced Activity Assistant for our facility to perform activity functions as assigned. Hours vary but may include the hours of 9a-5, 11a-730p, 10a-5p or 4p-8p. Approx 24-28 HOURS PER WEEK.
Activities Assistant will be responsible for running activities, creating flyers and other materials, shopping for supplies, assisting with calendar preparation, and many other duties. We would also prefer the applicant be able to drive our transpotartion bus for activity outings, doctor appointments and discharges. Avalid drivers license is REQUIRED.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF Activity Assistant:
Lead scheduled activities programs that inspire spiritual, cognitive, social, physical and creative expressions
Assist with the organizing, planning and implementation of programs and opportunities that promote resident well-being
Enthusiastically promote and communicate programs and events to residents and
Passionately motivate and serve residents of varying cognitive and physical abilities
Interact with families and visitors of our residents
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS OF Activity Assistant:
High school graduate or equivalent (must be at least 18)
Prior experience as activity assistant
Prior experience in Long-Term Care/Healthcare is preferred
