Our client is hiring a Territory Sales Representative to grow sales of conveyor, material handling, and end-of-line packaging automation solutions across Delaware, Maryland, and Southern New Jersey. This is a field-based business development role selling capital equipment and custom automation solutions to manufacturers, warehouses, and industrial facilities. The territory includes an established account base, but the primary focus is new business development through outbound prospecting, customer site visits, and strong sales follow-through. You will be supported by an internal technical design team, sales tools, customer data, lead lists, and hands-on leadership training. Our client is looking for a self-driven hunter with outside B2B sales experience, strong prospecting skills, and the confidence to walk manufacturing floors, identify operational bottlenecks, and discuss equipment-based solutions with industrial customers. This is a strong opportunity to own a defined territory with technical support, market demand, and direct access to leadership.
Territory Sales Representative – Automation & Industrial Machinery (2 yrs exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Own and grow territory across Delaware, Maryland and Southern NJ
• Prospect through cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and in-person facility visits
• Conduct on-site plant assessments to identify mechanical inefficiencies and process vulnerabilities
• Present and sell solutions centered around conveyor, sorting, and end-of-line packaging automation
• Build quotes and negotiate pricing with customers and internal teams
• Partner with technical teams on custom automation systems and project handoffs
• Gather measurements, photos, videos, and specs to support accurate project scoping
• Maintain activity, lead follow-up, and sales pipeline visibility in CRM
• Represent the company at customer sites and industry trade shows
Territory Sales Representative – Automation & Industrial Machinery (2 yrs exp. req.) Qualifications
• 2 years of outside B2B sales experience required
• industrial equipment, machinery, or automation equipment sales experience required
• Outbound prospecting and cold calling experience required
• Ability to discuss technical products with customers required
• Willingness to travel locally across DE, MD, and Southern NJ required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
