Responsibilities
- Develop new business through outside sales initiatives, including telemarketing and direct client outreach
- Manage existing client accounts by providing personalized service and tailored insurance solutions
- Negotiate policy terms, coverage options, and pricing to meet client needs while maintaining profitability
- Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, regular follow-up, and exceptional service
- Maintain accurate sales administration records using CRM systems and other software tools
- Analyze client needs by conducting detailed assessments of property casualty, health, life, and benefits insurance requirements
- Stay informed about industry trends, insurance regulation updates, and product knowledge to advise clients effectively
Skills
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales or insurance sales with a focus on commercial insurance products
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms for clients and the company
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual capabilities are a plus)
- Customer relationship building expertise with a focus on client satisfaction and retention
- Knowledge of property casualty insurance, health insurance, life insurance, and benefits administration
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations related to health insurance confidentiality and compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems for sales tracking and client management
- Analysis skills to evaluate client needs accurately and recommend suitable coverage options
- Experience with telemarketing strategies to generate leads and expand market reach
- Understanding of insurance regulation standards applicable across different regions or states
