Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paint, stains, primers, and sealers using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools for efficient coverage.
• Execute residential painting projects including interior walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and remodeling tasks with attention to detail.
• Perform commercial painting tasks on large-scale construction sites utilizing schematics and blueprints for accurate project execution.
• Conduct surface repairs like masonry work, stucco application, concrete finishing, and restoration to maintain structural integrity.
• Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project specifications accurately while estimating material needs through construction estimating skills.
• Collaborate with team members on renovation projects involving carpentry (frame and trim), masonry, welding, and handyman experience to ensure seamless project flow.
• Maintain safety standards on construction sites by properly handling scaffolding, scaffolding removal, and using appropriate personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction painting across residential, commercial, or industrial settings with a strong understanding of construction site protocols.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup/removal, airless paint spraying equipment, and other relevant tools of the trade.
• Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects and precise color matching.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for project planning.
• Familiarity with surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, sanding, and masonry work.
• Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating material quantities efficiently.
• Experience with renovation projects involving fixture installation or restoration work is a plus.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites along with the ability to work effectively at heights or in confined spaces.
