Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Project Manager located in De Pere, WI. The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing project planning, procurement, budgeting, and coordinating mechanical engineering functions. The role involves managing the design and installation of building services, plumbing, and HVAC systems, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain customer relationships to cultivate leads and opportunities within the market sector.
- Develop estimates from project documentation such as drawings, material lists, schematics, P&ID's and general arrangement drawings.
- Provides constructive input entire project proposals prior to submission and participate in project interviews.
- Negotiating and interpreting contracts.
- Establish an effective site safety program is in place to identify and correct safety hazards, responds to safety audit findings, reinforces safety practices, attitudes, and makes sure all employees attend and participate in safety meetings.
- Analyze a project during all phases and develops alternative methods to shorten schedules and increase profits.
- Provide weekly/monthly project cost projections utilizing the Viewpoint (Vista) software platform.
Qualifications
- Experience in Building Services and Plumbing
- Proficiency in Procurement and Budgeting processes
- Strong background in Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience in the construction or mechanical contracting industry is a plus
