Responsibilities
- Diagnose appliance issues using schematics, electrical testing, and mechanical assessments to identify root causes quickly and accurately.
- Repair and troubleshoot appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and HVAC systems with precision and attention to detail.
- Install new appliances following manufacturer specifications, including electrical connections, plumbing, and mechanical setup.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladder use, and equipment troubleshooting techniques to perform repairs efficiently on-site or in customer homes.
- Conduct maintenance inspections and perform equipment repair to prevent future malfunctions and extend appliance lifespan.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair processes, timelines, and maintenance tips to ensure excellent customer service experiences.
- Operate company vehicles safely for field service visits and delivery of repaired appliances or new installations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an appliance repair technician or in a related field such as service technician experience or HVAC.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics and ladder use is highly desirable.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, electrical work, and assembly of appliances is essential.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment necessary for appliance repair tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating a box truck or company vehicle; delivery driver experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy appliances safely, and work in various environments.
