Expected Salary range is $150,000 – 220,000 depending upon experience.

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Manager to join our Honolulu Authority Rapid Transportation (HART) project in Honolulu, HI.

Tutor Perini is the general contractor for the HART City Center Guideway and Stations project. The scope of the approximately $1.66 billion contract includes the design and construction of six rail stations and approximately three miles of elevated rail guideway beginning just east of the Middle Street Transit Center Station and ending at the Civic Center Station, which will be located just east of the intersection of Halekauwila Street and South Street in downtown Honolulu. Construction of this segment is expected to be substantially completed in 2030.

DESCRIPTION:

As a Quality Control Manager , reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage the Quality Control program and Quality Control Inspector team.

• Lead and manage Inspection to contract specifications the quality of concrete mix designs, construction submittals, testing procedures, etc.
• Direct the inspection of concrete steel reinforcement and form work on bridge decks, beams, box culverts, columns, footings, utilities and roadways
• Develop understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work
• Oversee inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work
• Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assure correctness of all documents
• Lead the preparation/implementation of quality control procedures, i.e., inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment, etc.
• Manage the quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules
• Participate in internal/external quality control audits
• Review and approve purchase documents to ensure compliance with quality control requirements
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business management or similar, from an accredited Institution
• 10 or more years of experience in support of heavy civil construction testing, inspection, supervision or management in support of large public works projects
• 5 or more years as a supervisor or manager of construction quality control teams
• Experience with contract specifications as they apply to quality control and/or assurance
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• ACI or other industry related certifications (preferred)
