Details:
- In-Person Tutoring in Hesperia, CA
- Schedule: 3 sessions a week for 2 hours
- Rate is between $25 and $35
- Bilingual – Fluent in English and Spanish (Required)
- Experience working with students with Autism, Down Syndrome, or other developmental delays
- Background in special education, early childhood education, or a related field preferred
- Ability to collaborate with ABA therapists and other professionals supporting the student
- Familiarity with IEP implementation and progress monitoring
- Patient, engaging, and comfortable using visual and tactile supports to reinforce learning
- Reliable transportation to Hesperia, CA
- Provide one-on-one instruction in foundational skills, including:
- Letter and sound recognition
- Number and color identification
- Basic pre-literacy and pre-numeracy concepts
- Use multi-sensory, hands-on strategies to reinforce early learning
- Incorporate visual aids, repetition, and clear, consistent routines to support skill retention
- Implement structured academic activities that align with the student’s IEP goals
- Maintain a calm, patient, and supportive tone throughout instruction
- Collaborate with the student’s ABA therapist during sessions to ensure consistent behavioral and emotional support
- Integrate student interests (e.g., toy cars, favorite shows) into lessons to increase motivation and attention
