Position Summary
The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of small to mid-sized accounts through proactive outreach, relationship building, and solution-based selling. This role focuses on driving revenue, increasing customer retention, and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities within an assigned territory or customer base.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated sales professional with strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to manage a high volume of accounts efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of small business accounts, serving as the primary point of contact
- Conduct outbound calls, emails, and virtual meetings to engage customers and drive sales
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services, or solutions
- Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs
- Develop and execute account plans to grow revenue within existing customers
- Qualify inbound leads and convert them into active customers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM (pipeline, activities, forecasts)
- Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and field sales teams to support customer growth
- Handle customer inquiries, objections, and basic issue resolution in a timely manner
- Monitor account activity and proactively re-engage inactive or at-risk customers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of sales, inside sales, or account management experience
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience handling a high volume of accounts or transactions
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling to small businesses (SMB segment)
