We are looking for a dedicated, animal-loving Pack Leader/Kennel Attendant to join our team! This is not just a kennel job, but an opportunity to be part of a team that truly cares about the well-being and happiness of every pet in our care. Our TOAH Pack Leaders are the heart of our boarding services and day-play program and provide invaluable support to our veterinary staff. Schedule:
- Full-time (30 hours), but flexible
- Must be available M–F between 7 AM – 7 PM
- Rotating weekends & holidays (required)
Requirements:
- 2 years kennel experience
- 1 year in a veterinary kennel setting
- Experience managing group play (12 dogs)
- Confident with both dogs & cats
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Comfortable in a loud, fast-paced environment
- Okay working in Florida heat, humidity & rain
Bonus Points For:
- Tech-savviness
- Experience with veterinary software (Avimark is a HUGE plus)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing daily care for canine and feline boarding guests
- Supervising and actively managing canine group-play (12 dogs)
- Engaging dogs in structured play, exercise, and enrichment
- Monitoring behavior, ensuring safety, and maintaining a healthy pack dynamic
- Assisting with feeding, medications, and overall comfort of pets
- Creating fun moments through holiday events and themed play days
- Capturing photos/videos of our guests for social media
The Reality Check (Because We Keep It Real):
We absolutely love what we do, but it’s not all puppy kisses and cute photos! This role requires a strong work ethic. It is physically demanding, fast-paced, and at times can feel nonstop.
You’ll be:
- Cleaning kennels and hospital areas
- Handling potty-breaks and accidents (yes… poop happens!)
- Tackling what can feel like never-ending laundry
