What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bakery Associate position at Tuscany Italian Market?
Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation and baking tasks in the bakery and deli.
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality and taste
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and work area
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their bakery needs
- Upsell bakery products to increase sales
- Sanitize equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic math for measuring ingredients and calculating quantities
- Familiarity with retail math for pricing and inventory management is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
