Turtle & Crane is a small, resident-focused assisted living community committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and homelike environment for our seniors. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team and help ensure the upkeep and safety of our facility.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Person is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs to maintain the building, equipment, and grounds in good working order. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our residents and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents
- Ensure exterior areas (walkways, lawns, parking areas) are clean and safe
- Coordinate with outside vendors for major repairs or inspections when necessary
- Maintain compliance with safety and health regulations
- Keep maintenance tools and supplies organized and in good condition
- Be available for occasional emergency repairs after hours (if required)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Must pass a background check
- Compassion and respect for elderly individuals
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
