Turpin Orthodontics is looking for an Orthodontic Assistant to join our established locations in Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston, Louisiana! Schedule:
- Full-time
- Monday - Thursday from 7:45 AM - 5:15 PM
- Fridays from 7:45 AM - 12:00 PM

Qualifications:
- 6 months of orthodontic assisting experience is preferred
- Must be willing to travel to our Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston locations on a weekly basis
Job Duties:
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Taking extraoral and intraoral photographs
- Taking dental impressions
- Sterilization and packaging of orthodontic instruments
- Disinfecting equipment and operatories
- Maintaining inventory control of all lab equipment, supplies, instruments, and consumables
- Preparing clinicians’ chair-side set-ups
- Tying and untying patients
- Applying orthodontic appliances under the supervision of the orthodontist
- Pouring models
- Fabricating retainers
- Cleaning the lab and operatories, sweeping/mopping as needed
- Cleaning common areas and removing the trash
- Providing oral hygiene and home care instructions to patients and family members
- And adherence to all OSHA and HIPAA regulations
