Requirements
WHAT WILL BE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments
- Develop individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in status
- Document all patients care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
- Participate in care team meetings and interdisciplinary rounds
- Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs, nursing assistants, and other support staff as appropriate
- Adhere to hospital or facility policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
- Participate in continuing education and performance improvement activities
- Current and valid license in the state of ND, SD (MN also preferred)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS, PALS, or other specialty certifications as needed
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with EHR systems and common clinical equipment
