Description

American Bin & Conveyor, LLC is looking for an Industrial Painter at their Burlington, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. The industrial painter is responsible for applying paint and other types of coatings on manufactured goods and structures by using sprayers, rollers, and brushes. This job is a multi-skilled position and requires a keen eye for detail and physical dexterity. Must be forklift certified or be able to obtain certification through our program. Must possess the ability to operate overhead crane. Must be able to perform tasks accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining all Company safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Mix and thin paint or other coatings to specified color and consistency according to customer requests.
• Regulate controls on equipment and paint booth to cure and dry paint or other coatings.
• Operate lifting and moving devises to move materials and equipment to access areas to be painted.
• Rack work pieces on skids, inspect, mark, and transfer finished products to staging / shipping areas.
• Responsible for cleanliness of paint booth, paint guns, spraying equipment and replacement of screens and filters.
• Maintain records of paint issued and inventory of supplies on hand.
• Initiate and maintain good housekeeping practices in all work areas.
• Complies with all company safety policies and procedures and practices safe work habits.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years of industrial painting experience (manufacturing, steel fabrication, heavy equipment, or similar environment preferred)
• Knowledge of paint mixing, spraying, and curing processes
• Ability to read and follow blueprints/drawings
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain through company program
• Ability to operate overhead crane (training provided if needed)
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and work in PPE for extended periods
• Successfully pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical.
