This new position will lead the manufacturing shop, warehouse, and the delivery team, and will be the glue that keeps the shop running smoothly to deliver the highest quality product and service day in and day out. The roles & responsibilities of the Shop Foreman include the following:
- Leading and managing all aspects of the manufacturing shop, warehouse operations, and the delivery team.
- Overseeing the production of pre-hung doors and managing daily deliveries to construction job sites, ensuring smooth and timely operations.
- Building, hiring, training, and managing the shop, warehouse, and delivery teams, fostering a productive and high-performing environment.
- Managing inventory tracking and vehicle fleet management, including maintenance, to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Leading a variety of efforts to maintain quality production, employee productivity, safety, and shop cleanliness, while also establishing and sustaining efficient processes and systems.
The Skillsets & Qualifications for the Shop Foreman include:
- 5 years' experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse fulfillment, production shop, deliveries, assembly line, shipping & receiving environment
- 3 years' experience building, leading, training and developing a team
- 3 years' experience managing and tracking inventory
- 3 year's experience with materials flow/production planning
- 3 years' experience managing warehouse delivery and receiving logistics management (ability to guide the players (drivers, shop), coordinate and manage team schedules)
- 2 years' Finish Carpentry, Door/Trim experience (preferred, not required)
- 2 years' in a Foreman role (preferred, not required)
- 2 years experience fleet management and maintenance
- 2 years' experience creating and executing strategic improvement and production plans
- 2 year's experience holding teams accountable for performance metrics
- 2 year's leading safety and quality initiatives
- Experience reading blueprints, preferred, not required
- Ability to read and execute prints, job orders, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and mechanical tools
- Superior decision making skills
- Keen problem solving skills to create win-win solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills
- Comfortable and willing to learn new technology
- Willingness to get your hands dirty and work side by side crews to get the job done
- Ability to work on your feet 8-10 hour days
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of lbs up and down stairs
- Valid Driver's License and adequate transportation for construction sites
- Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus, not a requirement
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check

Schedule:
Job Type: Full-time Monday thru Friday, onsite start time 6:45 a.m. to set up the day proactively; 40-50 hours/week depending on workload
Compensation:
Hourly Rate - $ 50,000 - $ 60,000/yr depending on level of warehouse/shop experience management experience.
