This role collaborates with operational leaders to proactively address staffing challenges, balance service levels with cost controls, and implement data-driven solutions that support both the guest experience and business objectives.

What does a Workforce Planning Manager do?
- Assist in creating and validating labor forecasts for assigned areas, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Support the use of UKG forecasting tools to maintain and refine labor models, assisting with verifying volume drivers, staffing rules, and service-level requirements.
- Gather and review operational inputs (seasonal patterns, events, volume trends) from business leaders to inform workforce requirements.
- In conjunction with Workforce Planning Analysts, perform regular labor performance analysis to identify variances and recommend practical adjustments to improve productivity.
- Manage the scheduling process end-to-end, ensuring schedules are accurate, compliant, and published on time.
- Monitor and maintain department coverage, addressing shift gaps, roster completeness, and volume-based staffing needs.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, gaming regulations, rest rules, and internal scheduling policies.
- Review schedule efficiency to minimize overtime, prevent understaffing, and control labor costs.
- Direct and support Workforce Planning Analysts, providing guidance and resolving day-to-day scheduling challenges.
- Train team members on best practices for forecasting, scheduling, and labor optimization.
- Promote continuous improvement within the team through coaching and process standardization.
- Act as the escalation point on all workforce management topics for assigned departments, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
- Provide actionable labor insights and recommendations to operational leaders in conjunction with Workforce Management Analysts to support daily and weekly staffing decisions.
- Coordinate with People & Culture to align staffing supply with forecasted demand and onboarding timelines.
- Support the Director of Workforce Management in implementing new tools and process improvements.
- Serve as a UKG super-user, troubleshooting issues and ensuring accurate configuration for scheduling and forecasting.
- Work with IT and HRIS teams to maintain system functionality and implement enhancements.
- Support the development and maintenance of reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility into labor performance and compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase scheduling accuracy and streamline workflows.

Work Experience
To be successful as a Workforce Management Manager, you'll need:
- 5 years’ experience in workforce planning, labor management, scheduling, or operational planning—preferably within hospitality, casino gaming, hotels, F&B, retail or a similar large-scale operation.
- Strong proficiency with UKG (or similar workforce management systems) in forecasting, scheduling, and labor analytics.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams in a high-volume, multi-department environment.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret labor data and convert insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, scheduling compliance, and operational best practices.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of comfort working in a fast-paced, 24/7 business with fluctuating demand.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 11 - 20 pounds.
