Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely and expertly maneuver excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and other heavy machinery. Perform advanced tasks including erecting materials, laying roadbeds, trenching, and precision earthmoving.
- Serve as the first line of defense by conducting daily equipment inspections, identifying mechanical issues early, and performing basic repairs to reduce downtime.
- Manage loading and unloading of heavy machinery from trailers. Ensure all tools, attachments, and equipment are accounted for and ready for deployment.
- Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and secure job site at all times.
- Complete daily logs, maintenance reports, and project documentation with attention to detail and timeliness.
Experience & Skills:
- A minimum of six years of professional heavy‑equipment operation is required, and candidates must be experienced in dozer and excavator operation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical manuals confidently.
- Exceptional eye/hand/foot coordination and a strong attention to detail.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills for mechanical issues or unexpected site challenges.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) highly preferred.
