Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals and pickups at multiple locations
- Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, addressing questions and providing excellent service
- Handle heavy lifting of packages and merchandise with proper technique to prevent injury
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any issues promptly
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales opportunities
- Organize delivery routes for maximum efficiency and accuracy in order fulfillment
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of route planning, navigation tools, and traffic regulations
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for handling pricing, measurements, and inventory counts
- Ability to lift heavy packages safely and perform physical tasks consistently
- Exceptional organizational skills for managing deliveries and maintaining accurate records
- Experience in sales or upselling techniques to promote products effectively
- Familiarity with merchandising principles to ensure proper product placement during deliveries
- Valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements; experience in heavy lifting required
