About the Opportunity
Turner Staffing Group is seeking a Water Truck Operator to support surface operations at the Jerritt Canyon Mine in Elko, Nevada. This is a project-based role supporting underground mine restart activities, offering an opportunity to work on a high-impact mining operation.

Key Responsibilities
As a Water Truck Operator, you will:
- Safely operate an 8,000-gallon water truck in accordance with site rules and manufacturer guidelines
- Perform and document pre-operational inspections (fluids, tires, brakes, lights, articulation joint, etc.)
- Maintain full control of the vehicle across varying road and weather conditions
- Ensure safe loading, transport, and controlled discharge of water
- Monitor tank systems, including hoses, valves, and pumps, for proper function
- Communicate effectively using site radio and follow all traffic protocols
- Report hazards, incidents, and mechanical issues immediately
- Complete all required logs, reports, and documentation
Work Activities
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and post-operation checks
- Verify system integrity (tank, valves, pump functionality)
- Operate only on approved haul routes and maintain safe speeds
- Maintain safe following distances and situational awareness
- Position equipment safely for water discharge operations
- Prevent spills, overflows, erosion, or unsafe discharge conditions
- Follow proper parking, shutdown, and lockout procedures when required
Equipment Operated
- Volvo A40G Water Truck (8,000-gallon capacity)
- Onboard pumping and spray systems
- Site communication systems (radio)
- Standard safety equipment (fire extinguisher, spill kit, emergency supplies)

Qualifications
- Previous experience operating water trucks or similar heavy equipment preferred

- MSHA certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
