Turner is accepting applications for an experienced Surveyor to join our nested Capital Projects team at a location in Deer Park, TX.  This position plans, organizes and directs surveying work to determine precise location and measurements of points of elevation, land areas and contours for construction map making, land division and other purposes.  Previous experience in a civil craft is preferred.  Regular work schedule is 4 10's with occasional overtime as needed.

• TWIC Card REQUIRED.
• High school or equivalent
• One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill
• Advanced knowledge of Surveyor tools and equipment
• Written pre-employment qualification test
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Jobsite safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.) 
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements:

Provides work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by construction workers, Provides checking of as-built conditions that require the use of surveying techniques, Provides topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities, Provides quantity calculations as required, Prepares documentation of surveying activities, Maintains condition and adjustment of surveying equipment, Coordinates surveying activities to meet construction requirements, Must have knowledge of and ability to use all surveying equipment and techniques, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Physical Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction

• Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground level; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas
• Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
