Role Description | Staff Accountant – Property Management & Residential Construction
This role supports accounting functions for property management and residential construction operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger and prepare journal entries.
- Support accounts payable/receivable and reconcile accounts.
- Track property budgets, rental income, and tenant charges.
- Manage job cost accounting for construction projects.
- Assist with monthly closings and financial reporting.
- Completing bank reconciliations.
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1–3 years of experience (property management or construction preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel. Experience with AppFolio, Yardi, ECI preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
