Job description:
We are an industrial coater located in northwest Harris County seeking a skilled and experienced NACE I Coatings Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corrosion control and inspection techniques, with a focus on ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections and assessments of coatings, linings, and corrosion control systems.
- Conduct visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) to identify defects, weaknesses, and areas of concern.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with clients and project teams to develop and implement corrosion control strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to corrosion control and inspection.
Requirements:
- NACE/AMPP Level I Basic Coating Inspector (HARD REQUIREMENT)
- Proven experience in conducting coating inspections and corrosion control activities. 3 years preferred.
- Strong knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, coating systems, and inspection techniques.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., SSPC, ASTM, API).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and project teams.
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and thorough inspection reports.
