Position Title: Quality Control Coatings Inspector
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Coatings Inspector to ensure that coating applications meet all product, customer, and industry specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial coatings inspection and a keen eye for detail, ensuring consistent quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect coating applications for conformance to product specifications, customer requirements, and applicable standards.
- Measure and record environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point) and verify surface profiles.
- Check wet film thickness (WFT) and dry film thickness (DFT) using appropriate gauges and instruments.
- Verify coating performance and adherence to process controls.
- Document inspection results, maintain quality records, and communicate findings to the production team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the application or inspection of industrial coatings, including:
- Dry/wet film coatings
- Polymers
- Aluminum slurries
- Ceramic coatings
- Thermal spray HVOF coatings
- Proficient in the use of:
- Magnetic pull-off gauges
- Hydrometers
- Electronic DFT gauges and calibration tools
- Micrometers and calipers
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills & Attributes:

- Ability to interpret specifications and technical drawings.
