Highly respected interior contractor with over 90 years of knowledge working in flooring, drywall, and acoustical in Metro-Detroit is looking to add an experienced Commercial Drywall Estimator/Project Manager to the team. The company was founded on hard work, honesty, and integrity, and these are three core values that we look for in all of our team members.Job overview:· Point of contact with customers, superintendents and sub-contractors· Create new and build stronger existing customer relationships· Managing & estimating a project from beginning to end, ensuring that construction activities stay on schedule and within budget· Interface with owner and others to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility· Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking the team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project· Estimate with detail, both quantitative material/equipment take-off & labor production· Attend pre-bid meetings to ensure determine accurate scope of work and require contents of estimate· Expert blueprint reading ability to accurately complete quantity material take-offs· Transfer all costs/data to an estimating spreadsheet and maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures· Estimate extra work items, change orders, credits, procuring materials etc.· Periodic inspection of construction sites and progress meetings when necessary Requirements:· Minimum of 5 years commercial drywall estimating experience· Sound technical skills, analytical ability, and strong management focus· Results-oriented, well organized and self-directed· Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Estimating Software (Edge Software experience preferred).· Detail driven and expert plan reading skills with ability to conceptualize drawings· Understand drywall and ceiling and ceiling industry’s materials and methods· Attention to detail and accuracy in a MUST· Must be able to read and interpret all project specification manuals· Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures Compensation/Benefits:· Bonus incentive packaged based on profitability of project· Health Insurance· 401K· Paid vacation and Personal days Company DescriptionTurner Brooks is a commercial interior contractor founded in 1933 with a long-standing reputation for its dependability, integrity, and craftsmanship within the ceiling, drywall, flooring, carpentry, and cold form metal framing divisions. Salary : $60,000 - $100,000
