Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Consultant

Duration: 3 Months

Location: VA-Arlington, 100% Remote

Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Consultant, you will join Turnberry's Business Transformation practice. Turnberry's Business Transformation practice is dedicated to diagnosing and addressing core business challenges including regulatory compliance, full-scale implementation, managing change and driving continuous improvement across transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders and partners to define sourcing priorities, lead source selection, conduct market research, mitigate issues, and add value through insights
• Consult with business unit partners to provide sourcing strategy advice to maximize favorable results and support client strategy and goals
• Lead source selection activities of pre-qualified vendors, including conducting market analysis to determine potential sources
• Build and maintain relationships with lines of business, team members, management, key stakeholders, and external contacts (e.g., suppliers, etc.)
• Serve as an expert and advisor to the business on the sourcing process and work with leaders to ensure that their needs are met throughout the procurement lifecycle
• Identify and work collaboratively with clients and other stakeholder groups (OG, Privacy & Compliance, Information Security, etc.) to achieve a compliant and smooth process and ensure alignment with strategy and business operations
• Collaboratively work with cross functional teams to develop business unit requirements and Statement of Works and Change Orders
• Manage the competitive RFx process that is standardized with consistent language and evaluation criteria
• Effectively negotiate contracts that meet desirable financial terms and conditions, working with business leaders, internal stakeholders, and suppliers and ensuring contracts are completed according to best practices and timelines
• Administer non-disclosure agreements, Risk Assessments, and the supplier due diligence process in collaboration with the business partner
• Negotiate MSA’s and BAA’s on behalf of the business and in coordination with OGC, Compliance, and Information Security
• Prepare, issue, and manage RFPs/RFIs
• Manage supplier performance as necessary when they are not adhering to the SOW and SLAs
  
  

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain with demonstrated involvement in end-to-end RFx processes (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, support contract development, and assist in negotiations to achieve cost-effective outcomes
• Experience conducting market research and spend analysis to inform sourcing strategies and vendor selection
• Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and align procurement strategies with business objectives
• Working knowledge of procurement best practices, risk management, and compliance frameworks in a corporate or regulated environment
  
  

The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $90,000 or the hourly equivalent.
