Responsibilities
- ERP Development Leadership:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of custom ERP modules tailored for CNC manufacturing, focusing on functionalities such as production scheduling, inventory management, and quality assurance
- Product Ownership:
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, gathering requirements, prioritizing features, and defining the product roadmap to align with business objectives
- Team Management:
- Oversee the IT team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
- Technical Oversight:
- Ensure best practices in software development, code quality, and architecture design
- Review and approve technical designs and implementation strategies
- IT Systems Management:
- Manage all IT systems, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and effectively integrated with the ERP system
- Oversee system performance, backups, and disaster recovery plans
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and sales, to ensure technology solutions meet operational needs and improve workflow efficiencies
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for both the ERP system and IT infrastructure
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project progress and team performance
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements that optimize ERP functionality and overall IT systems
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Master’s degree is a plus
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience in ERP systems and CNC manufacturing environments is preferred
- Leadership and Management:
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Communication:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Continuous Improvement:
- Proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement within the ERP system and IT infrastructure
- Technical Communication:
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively
- Software Development:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar, with a strong understanding of software development best practices
- ERP Systems Knowledge:
- Experience with ERP systems and their implementation in manufacturing settings, particularly CNC operations
- Database Management:
- Strong knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and proficiency in writing complex queries
- Web Technologies:
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) for full-stack development
- System Architecture:
- Ability to design scalable and maintainable system architectures that integrate with existing technologies and processes
- Team Leadership:
- Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams, including mentoring and fostering a collaborative environment
- Project Management:
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and ensure project deliverables are met
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders, understanding their needs, and translating them into technical requirements
- Product Road mapping:
- Experience in defining product roadmaps, prioritizing features, and managing backlogs in alignment with business objectives
