Engagement Manager

As an Engagement Manager within Turnberry's Digital Transformation practice, you'll oversee delivery and financial performance across multiple concurrent client engagements spanning custom software development, cloud migration and modernization, and data platform builds. You'll be the senior delivery and technical leader on your accounts — reviewing architecture decisions, owning budget and margin accountability, and serving as the escalation point when an engagement needs to be stabilized or turned around. You'll also mentor project managers and senior-level consultants, shape staffing strategy and delivery standards across the practice, and partner with sales to shape, estimate, and win new engagements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery, financial performance, and team performance across one or more concurrent client engagements, including delivery approach, staffing, and milestone commitments
• Own the delivery cadence across accounts: governance rhythms, executive readouts, and steering committee updates
• Own portfolio-level financials — budget vs. actuals, margin, burn rate, forecasting, and utilization — across the engagements you oversee
• Manage scope against SOWs, drive change control, and review change orders before they go to clients
• Review technical plans and architecture decisions with architects and leads before commitments are made to clients
• Set the standard for risk identification and mitigation across your accounts; step in directly on at-risk or recovery situations
• Serve as the senior Turnberry escalation point on your accounts, including rebuilding executive confidence when needed
• Shape pre-sales solutioning, estimation, and staffing models; author or review SOWs
• Own and grow client executive relationships that drive renewals and expansion
• Lead and mentor project managers and senior consultants; contribute to delivery standards, templates, and estimation models firm-wide; support staffing strategy and workforce planning
  
  

Qualifications

• 10 years in technology delivery, including 5 years leading engagements in a consulting, systems integration, or professional services environment
• Hands-on background earlier in your career in software engineering, cloud, or data, with enough currency to stay credible in technical discussions
• Experience leading delivery in one or more of: custom software engineering and application modernization, cloud migration and modernization on AWS or Azure, or data platform and analytics builds
• Proven ownership of engagement financials across multiple concurrent engagements, including margin accountability and forecasting
• Working command of modern delivery practices: Agile and hybrid delivery, CI/CD, environment and release management, testing strategy, and cutover planning
• Track record leading and developing other delivery leaders, and supporting staffing/workforce planning at a practice level
• Strong executive presence, with the ability to deliver difficult messages clearly and represent the firm without oversight
• Experience with SOWs, change orders, and commercial delivery mechanics
• Turnaround or engagement recovery experience preferred
• Regulated industry experience (healthcare, PBM, life sciences, financial services) is a plus
• PMP, SAFe, or CSM credentials are welcome, though delivery track record matters more
  
  

The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $190,000 or the hourly equivalent.
