About the Position
Turn Right Services is looking for an experienced Commercial Door & Millwork Lead Carpenter for an ongoing commercial project in Idaho Falls.
We need someone who can lead a small crew, read plans, lay out work, and install commercial doors, hardware, cabinets, trim, and millwork efficiently and correctly.
This is a working lead position. You will be expected to work alongside the crew while also taking responsibility for production, quality, and coordination in the field.
Scope of Work
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Commercial door and frame installation
- Commercial door hardware installation
- Interior trim and finish carpentry
- Millwork installation
- Base, casing, panels, and miscellaneous architectural woodwork
- Reading door schedules, hardware schedules, plans, and details
- Layout and field measurements
- Punch-list and final adjustments
Lead Responsibilities
As the lead, you will be responsible for:
- Directing and working alongside the carpentry crew
- Planning daily work and keeping the crew productive
- Reading plans and identifying what needs to be completed next
- Tracking materials and identifying shortages before they affect production
- Coordinating with the GC superintendent and other trades
- Communicating progress and jobsite issues with Turn Right Services management
- Maintaining quality-control standards
- Taking progress photos and providing daily updates
- Making sure completed work meets plans, specifications, and manufacturer requirements
- Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications
Required:
- 3 years of commercial carpentry experience
- Strong commercial door and millwork experience
- Experience installing commercial doors, frames, and hardware
- Ability to read commercial construction plans and door schedules
- Ability to independently lay out and complete work
- Previous experience leading a crew
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic carpentry tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience installing cabinets and architectural millwork is strongly preferred.
