Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Electrical Technician to join our manufacturing and industrial maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and machinery across our facilities. Your expertise will ensure optimal operation of complex electrical equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, vision inspection systems, and high-voltage systems. Duties
- Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and automation equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Maintain and calibrate sensors, vision inspection systems, and precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate performance
- Diagnose electrical faults using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and calibration devices; implement effective solutions promptly
- Support the installation and integration of distributed control systems (DCS), CNC machinery, and high-voltage equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, AutoCAD drawings, and system diagrams to facilitate maintenance and upgrades
- Conduct preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan
- Collaborate with mechanical teams to troubleshoot combined mechanical-electrical issues in manufacturing processes
- Perform field service tasks at various locations as needed to support customer operations or plant maintenance initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or electrical technician within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, sensors, calibration techniques, and mechanical systems related to electrical equipment
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and Calypso software is highly desirable
- Familiarity with vision inspection systems, CNC machinery, low voltage/ high voltage electrical systems, and safety standards including military-grade protocols
- Ability to read complex schematics and technical drawings; proficiency with AutoCAD is a plus
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters for accurate diagnostics
- Excellent customer service skills when working with internal teams or external clients during field service tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards maintenance challenges
- Relevant certifications in electrical work; military background or experience is advantageous
