What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Shop Technician position at Campos Fabrication?
Campos Fabrication in Amherst is continuing to grow! We are looking for an Electrical Shop Technician to join our team with experience assembling and wiring control panels as well as be familiar working off blueprints, schematics, and a bill of materials. You also need to have knowledge of electrical theory, measurement skills, and light metal fabrication.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble, terminate, and wire electrical panels and electrical boxes using the specified tooling and approved workmanship standards, including complete installation into enclosure.
- Perform point to point wiring on a variety of electrical panels and power distribution electrical boxes; using company supplied hand tools, such as crimpers and wire strippers.
- Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
- Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
- The majority of time will be spent wiring panels therefore it is imperative that candidate be proficient at wiring.
- Layout of components in various size cabinets.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 2-15 years electrical technician experience
- High school diploma /GED
- Knowledge and experience with electrical wiring, control panels, instrumentation, and fabrication concepts.
- Experience and knowledge of UL 508a standards is preferred but not required.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
