Job Summary
Turman Realty Company, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Make Ready Crew Leader to lead a team preparing vacant rental homes and apartments for new residents. Responsibilities include assigning daily work, coordinating materials, checking completed work, and assisting with repairs, painting, flooring, and other property maintenance tasks.
Duties
- Lead painters and carpenters in completing assigned make-ready and property maintenance work.
- Follow the Field Operations Manager’s direction and communicate daily assignments to crew members.
- Work alongside the crew as needed.
- Keep crew members productive and monitor progress on assigned tasks.
- Coordinate needed materials, tools, and supplies with management.
- Inspect completed work and ensure any deficiencies are corrected.
- Report progress, delays, material needs, and other issues to the Field Operations Manager.
- Ensure tools are used safely and work areas remain clean and organized.
- Help train less-experienced crew members.
- Complete other property maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous painting, carpentry, make-ready, or property maintenance experience.
- Experience leading a crew preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions, organize daily work, and communicate clearly.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and pride in quality work.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools and perform physical maintenance work.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Thursday, four 10-hour days. Fridays off.
