Duties
- Plumbing and light electrical work such as changing lights outlets, fans.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair appliances, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Install new appliances and mechanical systems following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct troubleshooting to identify issues with air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, or kitchen equipment, then execute effective repairs promptly.
- Operate company vehicles safely for maintenance tasks at various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and scheduled inspections in compliance with operational procedures.
- Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and ensure safety protocols are upheld.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in repairing mechanical systems, appliances, HVAC/R units, and refrigeration equipment.
- Proficiency reading schematics, technical diagrams, and service manuals for accurate diagnostics and repairs.
- Hands-on experience with appliance repair, installation, and servicing of kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of HVAC system repair including air conditioning units and HVAC technology fundamentals.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical team members or clients.
- Experience working with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) procedures in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate equipment repair tools safely and efficiently while maintaining a focus on safety standards.
- Leadership qualities that enable guidance or mentorship of junior team members when needed.
