Duties
- Plumbing and light electrical work such as changing outlets and installing lights
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen appliances to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Diagnose and repair issues related to appliances, HVAC & refrigeration systems, mechanical systems, and kitchen equipment using schematics and technical manuals
- Install new appliances, HVAC units, and mechanical components following safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Conduct troubleshooting for HVAC system repair, air conditioning units, and refrigeration systems to restore optimal performance
- Operate company vehicles safely for on-site repairs or equipment deliveries as needed
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used in compliance with operational procedures
- Collaborate with team members to lead small projects or assist in construction-related tasks when necessary
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, and mechanical systems repair
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints for troubleshooting complex equipment issues
- Hands-on experience with appliance installation and repair across various types of kitchen equipment and appliances
- Knowledge of HVAC & appliance technology including air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and related mechanical components
- Experience working with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures in a commercial or industrial setting
- Ability to operate construction tools and equipment safely when performing repairs or upgrades
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients or team members about technical issues
