Housekeeper

We are currently hiring for a full-time Housekeeper position.  This position works Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-3:00PM. 

Job Summary

The Housekeeper maintains a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene throughout the company premises, ensuring a safe, functional and pleasant environment for employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

1. General Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in offices, hallways, and common areas.  Empty trash cans and replace liners

2. Dusting & Polishing: Dust furniture, fixtures, walls and ledges

3. Sanitization: Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, breakrooms, countertops, and high-touch surfaces

4. Supply Management: Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other hygiene supplies

5. Window Cleaning: Wash interior windows and glass surfaces

6. Identify and report deficiencies, damages, or needed repairs to Management

7. Health & Safety: Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and chemical handling procedures

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cleaner or in a similar role
• Ability to use various cleaning equipment (vacuums) and chemicals
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Physically fit to stand, bend, lift (up to 50lbs.) and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills
• Able to work schedule as assigned
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Working Conditions

• Works in office area(s) and warehouse.
• Moves intermittently during working hours.
• Is subject to frequent interruptions.
• Is involved with customers, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.
• Is subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).
• Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the workday, as well as reactions from dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, and other air contaminants.
• Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc.
• May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.

Education

Must possess and maintain any and all necessary active and unencumbered certifications, degrees, or licenses in the necessary state, to the extent the position requires such certifications, degrees, or licenses.

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with customers, personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understandably write the English language.

• Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this company, which include a medical and physical examination if the position requires.
