Duties

• Carefully apply toppings to pizzas according to specified recipes and customer preferences, maintaining consistency and presentation standards
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as ingredient portioning, ingredient handling, and ensuring all toppings are fresh and properly stored
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including topping stations, ovens, and prep tools
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards throughout the food production process
• Support the culinary team in meal preparation, including assembling ingredients for various menu items and assisting with cooking tasks such as grilling, braising, poaching, or other techniques as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work station by regularly sanitizing surfaces and equipment in compliance with food safety management protocols
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-volume production runs smoothly during busy service hours

Skills

• Previous dietary aide or food handling experience preferred, with a strong understanding of food safety practices
• Knowledge of menu planning and recipe adherence to ensure consistency in topping application and presentation
• Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant environments demonstrating excellent food production skills
• Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently within a fast-paced setting
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and other culinary methods
• Background in catering or large-scale meal preparation showcasing ability to handle high-volume food production
• Excellent food safety management skills including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic restaurant environment while maintaining attention to detail
