Welder

Description

Performs general welding, which includes, tig, plasma arc, tack welds. Some in-process inspection is required.    

• Be familiar with welding exotic metals including but not limited to, titanium, Inconel, and stainless steel. 
• Be familiar with all tools required for setup, inspection and welding of various fixtures and work in process.
• Must be experienced at plasma arc and tig welding as required
• Maintain scrap and rework to within acceptable minimums
• Read and interpret blueprints and MOS specifications
• Read, interpret and execute work instructions
• Follow all company policies including safety instructions
• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices 
• Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Environment:  

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites.
• The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. 
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years’ experience involving similar equipment, processes, measuring tools and welding operations.
• High school diploma, GED  
• Teamwork Orientation.

• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Must possess the necessary tools to perform position responsibilities
