What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at TurbineAero Engines Technics?
Description
Performs general welding, which includes, tig, plasma arc, tack welds. Some in-process inspection is required.
- Be familiar with welding exotic metals including but not limited to, titanium, Inconel, and stainless steel.
- Be familiar with all tools required for setup, inspection and welding of various fixtures and work in process.
- Must be experienced at plasma arc and tig welding as required
- Maintain scrap and rework to within acceptable minimums
- Read and interpret blueprints and MOS specifications
- Read, interpret and execute work instructions
- Follow all company policies including safety instructions
- Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices
- Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites.
- The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience involving similar equipment, processes, measuring tools and welding operations.
- High school diploma, GED
- Teamwork Orientation.

- Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Must possess the necessary tools to perform position responsibilities
