- Assist the dentist in performing complex dental procedures and functions
- Assist in the administration of local anesthesia and monitor patients during the procedures
- Place, carve, and polish dental restorations as permitted by state regulations
- Perform coronal polishing and apply fluorides as needed
- Educate patients regarding dental procedures and proper oral hygiene
- Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of procedures performed
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment following all state health regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program is required
- Current Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification and CPR certification
- Proven experience as a dental assistant, with specific EFDA experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental materials, terminology, and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide exceptional patient care
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks
