About the Team:
The Strategic Insights & Analytics group supports three key areas:
- Advanced Analytics – leveraging claims data and forecasting to drive business decisions
- Market Analytics & Market Research – for both HCP and patient audiences
- Strategic Insights – partnering closely with Marketing, Medical, and Commercial teams to shape brand direction
This role will focus on the Market Analytics and Market Research portion, providing actionable insights to optimize brand strategy, patient engagement, and HCP outreach in a rare disease indication.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Market Research professional—at the Associate Director or Director level—to independently lead both qualitative and quantitative research initiatives that inform brand and market strategy. The ideal candidate combines deep market research expertise with the ability to translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and lead end-to-end market research (qualitative and quantitative) to inform brand strategy, patient engagement, and HCP campaign development.
- Manage key quantitative studies such as ATU, promotional effectiveness, and demand studies.
- Conduct qualitative research including ethnographies, IDIs, and advisory boards to capture deeper patient and HCP insights.
- Provide strategic guidance to optimize HCP and patient marketing tactics, messaging, and campaign execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, Analytics, and Commercial Operations to embed insights into strategic plans.
- Partner with and oversee external research vendors, ensuring high-quality and compliant execution.
- Present research findings and strategic implications to cross-functional and executive audiences.
- Identify knowledge gaps, recommend research approaches, and proactively drive insight generation.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PhD) preferred.
- 8 years of experience in market research or strategic insights within biopharma or life sciences.
- Experience leading both qualitative and quantitative methodologies independently.
- Strong understanding of market and brand strategy development, particularly for HCP and patient audiences.
- Experience with ATU studies, demand studies, and message optimization.
- Forecasting and experience working with large data sets a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions through data-driven insights.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.
