Position Summary: The Registered Dietitian ensures the district’s Child Nutrition Services program complies with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing school nutrition programs. This position provides professional dietetics expertise to support compliant menu development, medically required dietary accommodations, nutrition education initiatives, and operational consistency across school sites. The role partners with Child Nutrition Services leadership to maintain safe, accurate, and student-centered meal services while supporting regulatory compliance and program
effectiveness across the district.

- Regulatory Compliance and Program Oversight
- Menu and Nutrition Analysis
- Dietary Accommodations and Food Safety
- Training and Nutrition Education
- Monitoring, Reporting, and Documentation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field
- Registered Dietitian (RD or RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration, including completion of an ACEND-accredited internship and required continuing education
- Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in K–12, institutional, or large-scale food service
- Experience with automated food production systems and nutrition analysis software preferred
- ServSafe certification and AllerTrain certification required within six (6) weeks of hire
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Oklahoma Food Handler’s permit
- Valid driver’s license required
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of federal and state child nutrition program regulations
- Analytical and sound decision-making skills
- Ability to interpret and apply changing federal and state regulations
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
