Position Summary: The Controller supports the Executive Director of Accounting and Payroll in overseeing the district’s accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable, payroll, fixed asset accounting, bond accounting, and financial reporting. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent financial information, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting compliance with Board policies, district
business practices, state and federal regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Education
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including at least four (4) years in a supervisory or management capacity
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- Knowledge of district and audit requirements for the provision of financial information
- Knowledge of financial recordkeeping procedures, laws, regulations, and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
