Job Summary
Plays a key role in advancing student success by overseeing embedded tutoring and supplemental instruction across multiple academic disciplines. This position manages tutoring initiatives both inside and outside the classroom, supervises embedded tutors, and collaborates with faculty and staff to integrate academic support into course delivery.
Essential Duties
Partner with instructors and academic departments to integrate embedded tutoring and supplemental instruction into course delivery.
Facilitate communication between tutors, faculty, and academic success departments to support program goals.
Recruit, train, and evaluate embedded tutoring and supplemental instruction programs and employees.
Develop and monitor tutoring program effectiveness using data and feedback.
Provide ongoing professional development and guidance to ensure quality tutoring support.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English (writing or reading), Education, Math Education, Instructional Design, Higher Education, Organizational Leadership, or a closely related field.
One year experience in tutoring or teaching.
One year experience supervising staff or student workers.
One year proven ability to manage multiple projects across diverse functional areas.
Experience with assessment, data, and student success metrics
Excellence in verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage daily operations, and oversee employee workflows with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
International Tutor Training Program Certification (ITTPC).
Master’s degree in educational leadership or related field such as English (writing or reading), Education, Math Education, Instructional Design, Higher Education, Organizational Leadership, or a closely related field.
One year in developmental education.
Experience in tutoring, learning or success centers.
