Tulsa Cardiovascular Center of Excellence is seeking a compassionate, motivated Cath Lab Assistant / Cardiovascular Procedure Technician to support our peripheral vascular procedure team.
This opportunity is ideal for a Medical tech with cardiovascular experience—or a strong interest in developing a career in the cardiovascular field. You will receive a structured combination of hands-on and didactic training, typically completed over three to four weeks.

What You Will Do
In this role, you will help ensure that procedures run safely, efficiently, and smoothly. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing the procedure room and setting up sterile and nonsterile supplies
- Assisting with peripheral vascular procedure table setup
- Turning over and preparing rooms between procedures
- Gathering, organizing, and restocking necessary equipment and supplies
- Supporting physicians and clinical staff throughout the procedure day
- Developing a working understanding of medications commonly used in the cardiovascular setting
- Gathering and documenting patient symptoms and relevant clinical information
- Recognizing changes in patient condition or acuity and promptly bringing concerns to the physician’s attention
- Providing patients with reassurance, attentive service, and timely communication
- Following clinical protocols, infection-control procedures, and safety standards
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused work environment

The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive, organized, and eager to learn. Successful applicants should demonstrate:
- Medical Assistant education, training, or relevant clinical experience
- Cardiovascular experience preferred, but motivated candidates with a strong interest in the field are encouraged to apply
- Interest in peripheral vascular procedures and procedural patient care
- Strong communication and patient-service skills
- Ability to recognize clinical concerns and escalate them appropriately
- Willingness to learn cardiovascular medications, terminology, workflows, and patient-triage protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to anticipate the needs of the clinical team
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment
- Professionalism, compassion, empathy, and respect for every patient
- A genuine commitment to high patient satisfaction and outstanding customer care
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other members of the care team
Training and Professional Development
New team members receive approximately three to four weeks of combined hands-on and didactic training. Training is designed to build confidence in procedural room preparation, patient assessment, cardiovascular terminology, medication awareness, clinical workflows, and appropriate escalation of patient concerns.
