The Swim Instructor will support Campus Recreation in various administrative and operational tasks.

This position will help student employees demonstrate and cultivate the career readiness competencies in accordance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).

JOB DESCRIPTION
Swim Instructor

The Swim Instructor will support Campus Recreation in various administrative and operational tasks.
Responsibilities
- Providing private swim instruction to individual adults and children
- Providing group swim instruction for children
- Creating lesson plans
- Manage instructor profile using ActiveNet software for availability and scheduling
- Promoting safety and monitoring students to ensure safety
- Recognizing and responding effectively to emergencies
- Following, enforcing, and promoting Reily Center policies
- Teaching swimming fundamentals, stroke mechanics, and basic water safety
- Evaluating student achievement and completing routine paperwork
- Attending all necessary orientations and meetings
- Providing customer service
- Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
- 16 years of age or older
- A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
- A CPR/FA/AED certification (potentially)
- Previous experience as a swimming instructor (potentially)
