Communications Aide
Hourly Pay Rate: $10.00 - $16.00
The Communications Aide will assist the department/organization with communications related tasks.

This position will help student employees demonstrate and cultivate the career readiness competencies in accordance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).

JOB DESCRIPTION
Communications Aide

The Communications Aide will assist the department/organization with communications related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Helping manage and maintain the department website
- Writing, packaging, and posting content on the website for key sections of the website
- Creating and editing faculty/staff bios when needed
- Following accessibility standards for website content
- Helping maintain website by monitoring for out-of-date information, images, etc.
- Researching, compiling, writing, and editing content when needed for other platforms and publications
- Operating cameras for taking photographs and videos
- Creating social media material
- Attending team meetings and orientations
- Assisting in the preparation and implementation of events including the
- Assist in event logistics and execution including, but not limited to event set up, check-in, and break down
- Developing and writing departmental communications
- Help maintain employer and career contact data and research potential contacts
- Attend necessary meetings
- Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
- Enrollment in a particular major or field of study (potentially)
- A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
- Relative, prior experience with or knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign (potentially)
